APU Being Weird

My Laptop APU usage is wild. I goes from 33% to 90% constantly, and I'm not even doing intensive things i.e. opening a tab in Chrome. This is also causing my cpu fan to speed up and down. What is the problem? Do I just need some new Thermal Paste? Are there fan settings? I don't mind having it at 100% al the time as long as it keeps temps down.

Mine is also like that! i right now have cpu usage of 100%! how should i add a pic? i know how to do it in a thread, but don't know how to do it in a post!

Try Firefox Aurora? Install Flash Beta

Upload the picture to a site like imgur.com and then put the link into the slot after clicking Image on top.

I don't think thermal paste will reduce CPU usage, have you had a look at what is running in the background through task manager?

If you go into the advanced post editor at the bottom you can upload an image to your post. :)

It seems to have calmed down now after closing a game called Hammerwatch but I have no idea why it was happening in the first place.

All I can say is monitor it, if it is behaving itself now then it might be fine but just keep an eye on it

Sound like my school using f-secure on laptops with E-2 apus. Immediate 100% cpu usage

 

100% immediate usage isn't difficult with an AMD E-2 now is it :P
