Looking for artist?

Go to solution Solved by DtrollMC,

I'd suggest looking around locally to you, like Kijiji / etc, see if you like anything you see. Maybe hit up a graphic design school / class at the Uni and post a sign saying your hiring.

I don't know if this is the right forum to post this in, but oh well...

Where do you guys find artists for your projects? I'm building a game at the moment and I need a 2D artist to help me out (since that's the stuff I suck at xD).

Any reccomendations are appreaciated ^^

75% of what I say is sarcastic

So is the rest probably

Keep in mind no one will do this for free.

some people will, if they have free time and want to work on their skills they might be up for it but yah id expect most people to want at least a bit of compensation and especially if its going to be sold anywhere

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

I just know a lot of Artists have to deal with people expecting them to work for free lol

The game is really in it's early stages, so nothing to brag about, but it's supposed to end up being (fingers crossed) a 2D multiplayer somewhat silly shooter.

I'm not worried about paying people for good work, I'm just really lost on where to start looking for competent people

yah, i have gotten desktop backgrounds for free from people on the forum. given them a topic or two and they do their thing for free in their spare time because they enjoy it and want to improve but i honestly should send them something back because the quality has been so damn amazing i almost feel bad

Just use google images. Sure, they may not be exactly what you want but it is so simple and convenient.
