Ive had my pc for about a year now and noticed I've been running my ram at 2133 instead of the 3200 it can go (Corsair Vengeance) and when I went to bios and changed the memory speed thing (I didn't voltage or anything) the computer would get a blue screen w the ":(" on display and when I put it back to 2133 w one stick it works again. (I can put the second stick in after at 2133 and it works fine)

Specs:

Mobo: gigabyte gaming Rev 1

Cpu: ryzen 1600 (Oc to 3.7ghz)

Ram: 16gb Corsair Vengeance ddr4

Storage: ssd boot drive and hdd storage

Gpu: MSI gtx 1050ti

Psu: 600w bronze (Corsair I think)

Have you updated the BIOS?

Newer versions are a LOT better in memory overclocking, the very first versions were well, basically garbage.

The solution seems obvious, if it bluescreens on higher settings, put it back to default.

Problem solved.
