So i just made my very first gaming pc and it was very cool to build it. However, i don't really know if i've got a good start yes or no. I'll put all specs down here:

CPU: Intel Core i7 860

CPU cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H50

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA P55-USB3L

RAM: 2x Samsung DDR3 4GB 1600MHz

GPU: currently an old AMD Radeon 7600, but i am gonna buy a MSI Geforce GTX 1050 Gaming X 2GB (the red and black one)

Storage: Kingston UV400 120GB SATA SSD. Soon i'll put a 4TB HDD in from Toshiba

PSU: Cooler Master GX550W

Case: Cooler Master Masterbox 5 (with a side glass panel)

Soon I'll also put in some rgb stuff because RGB LIFE.

Please let me know if my setup is any good

EDIT: i don't really know how much W my pc is currently using. if i buy the geforce gtx 1050, they recommend to have at least 300W (left), but i dont know how much im using! so do i maybe have to buy a PSU with more W or not?

I think a 1050TI would be great for "future proofing" because of the extra Vram. Although only if you can afford it, and your CPU can drive it.

As what?

Is it a good coffee maker? No.

Is it a good raincoat? No.

Is it a good car? No.

Can it be good for walking my dog? No.

Is it a good camera? Absolutely not.

Would it make for a good bed? Nope.

Is it a good all around PC? You bet.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

I've been thinking about that. I do think my CPU can but it costs like €200 instead of the €170 for the standard 1050

I'd say it's gives a better price for performance. But you can always decide for yourself.
