Keyboard and wall socket

What if you connect a keyboard to a wall socket, because I did and i’m a way from my keyboard and i am scared that I broke it

Like, it's USB, how do you whack that in a socket. It shouldn't fit...

Do you mean you plugged it into an usb to wallsocket adapter? That's perfectly fine. Won't do any harm.

 

If you SOMEHOW really plugged your keyboard directly into the wall socket, I'm pretty sure something would explode.

maybe he plugged it into his phone adapter? i mean, still a weird situation but i guess possible

Tbh i'm still confused. If you just connected it to a USB charger it's fine. The keyboard wouldn't care.

Well really how this happens is that my friend (a two year old) plug my gaming keyboard to the freakin Apple socket thinking the wall was a computer, and the socket was on, but just after I had to drive up north of Queensland

It simply powers up the keyboard, as if you would plug it into a PC. There just isn't any data flow. If you plugged a mouse with a red laser into a wall socket with a USB adapter it would light up the LED.

Adapter is just delivers tad more power to keyboard than PC. Ever wondered how they show off multiple keyboards with all LEDs at conventions?
