I'm looking for a 5.1 amplifier for my computer. I'd like to get something that doesn't have all of the features of a normal 5.1 home theater receiver. Is there such thing as an amplifier that can accept hdmi/optical/etc audio in and has 5.1 output without any video features (pass through, upscaling, etc) or radio or network streaming or anything that isn't audio in then audio out? Am I stuck buying a normal audio/video receiver and doing my best to ignore all the extra features I don't need?
