Ugh... no. The 980ti is actually a bit faster but it consumes more power and has less VRAM and it lacks some features like the support for watching 4k Netflix for example.

I would still recommend 1070 unless the 980ti is about $50-$100 cheaper.

Both have similar performance, but 1070 uses less power and generates less heat. I'd prefer that.
