If someone is outside the US but uses a redirector is it sketchy to ship them an item on eBay? Like is there a way they could screw me over?

I've done it with people I trust, but I've seen a few people get screwed by Paypal in the knife world. They lost claims even though the forwarder got the package, opened, and re-shipped. The item was clearly damaged or lost by the forwarder.

They could take your money and not send you anything, for one.

 

There wouldn't be much to be done about it due to varying laws in different countries.
