Repair iPad mini glass not LCD

Clown

Hi,

My sister dropped her iPad mini and the glass cracked pretty severely but no damage was done to the LCD. Since the stores charge a lot I'm thinking about fixing it for her. I've been looking online for tutorials to replace only the glass but can't find any. Has anyone else had this problem? Do you know any tutorials which could help me?

I use ifixit for repair guides. I found one for you but it's a difficult repair.

Replacing just the cover glass on any touch screen device is EXTREMELY hard and 90% of the time people end up totally ruining the device. You need special adhesive, a UV light, and special tools. It's ALWAYS worth it just to pay for the whole screen assembly. Although I've personally found all aftermarket screens are crap quality chinese knockoffs and once a device's screen is destroyed, unless I can replace it with one from an identical device with a dead motherboard, I consider the device toast.
