If you need to replace the board as well, you're going to be spending a hell of a lot more. Used LGA 1155, especially Z chipset, boards are expensive. It will almost certainly cost you more than the CPU.

I wouldn't really recommend changing the board so you can overclock a K SKU, it's not worth the cost. Best option in terms of value is to go for a 3770 for £100 and keep your existing board. There's loads of them on eBay.

Ah alright sounds alright then to keep the board and RAM to be more cost effective.
