Hey everyone! I've been searching around for a good thin laptop that I can play games on and have been interested in the razer blade 14", but after searching around I found a lot of problems with it and I'm wondering if the problems really are as bad as everyone makes it out to be and if they're really common in their products. They are probably worse than what people say as there are people like Linus and Dave2D mudding the waters with bias review samples.

Look into Dell's XPS 15 or Lenovo's 720 laptops. They feature GTX 1050 or 1060 GPU's, i5 to i7 CPU's, and 256 - 1TB PCIe SSD storage.

If you're buying for looks, then a MacBook is the closest thing that compares to Razer's design. Otherwise, the Dell and Lenovo above both have more to offer for the same pricing as Razer's laptops, and don't have the same issues that Razer laptops do.

I do too but sadly the look is the only thing it has going for it. Dell XPS, Lenvo thinkpad, and just look at some of Dave2D's videos

Gigabyte Aero 15, MSI GS63VR, Clevo P950/P957. There are also 14 inch laptops with 1060 GPU like MSI GS43VR and Gigabyte Aero 14, however their cooling and build quality are slightly worse. Keep in mind that thin gaming laptops tend to have high fan noise and high surface temps while under load due to thin profile, however a thin gaming laptop with good cooling is able keep inner temps under control.

I was specific, see links in post. However, you're right - you don't get into the GTX 1060 GPU's unless you wait for the newer models to come out, or go with another brand entirely.

I saw your link actually. I don't think there will be new Ultrabooks with 1060 or 1060MQ. So far from what I know, the new XPS 15 has confirmed not having a 1060 GPU, even the Max-Q variant.
