(MAC QUESTION) AU Lab not working

I have my system sounds outputting to soundflower 2ch and have the au lab document set to input from soundflour 2ch and output to "built in output". When I have my OS sound set to soundflower 2ch, teh bars that show if sound is coming into the program don't even light up, thus no sound comes out the other end. Also, I have restarted my computer once and tried again.
