Hello everyone,

I'm currently looking for a good tech backpack that is capable of storing some notebooks as well as a 15 inch laptop. I've been using the GhostTek NRG (first model) for quite some time now, but unfortunately some of its stitching has been coming off and every time I put my bag down the laptop usually takes a hit (haha, talk about poor threading/protection).

I liked this bag for the following reasons and hope to see some of these in a new bag:

+ Battery (ability to charge devices)
+ Back compartment was neat (allowed for greater storage and organization)
+ Main pocket (roomy and had a few pockets where I can store my phone, wallet, etc.)
+ Waterproof (living in Washington state, this is more of a must)

Problems:

+ Stitching began to came off
+ Even the slightest (1ft to 2ft drop, will have your laptop taking the hit)

I've looked around and came to realize that they've remade the currently bag I use, called the NRG2: https://www.amazon.com/Ghostek-Protective-Notebook-Chromebook-Ultrabook/dp/B074TZN577/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 .

Do you guys have any suggestions for me, or is the NRG2 the bag that'll most likely accompany my needs?

Thank you all :)

I have no idea what your budget is, but I have the Incase Icon and it pretty much meets all your needs (you need your own portable charger though). It's not full out waterproof, but it can take some rain. You can also try your luck with the Incase Icon lite (smaller version of it).

Haven't heard of it, will check it. My budget is sorta flexible, upwards of 80 is fine but nothing really more than 150-200.

One Plus tech bag for sure

edit or a water proof camera bag should work like the any Billingham Hadley bags if they are in your price range.

I have a Thule Explorer (I think that’s the name) that I’m using as a school bag which also houses my laptop. It’s decently protective and while not water proof you don’t have to worry about rain at all.

That's an F in the profile pic
