Okay so this will take a bit to explain and itll be hard to understand but here goes.

So my friend down back cause i live in the middle of nowhere. He has frontier internet which i know is awful in the first place but he lets me use his internet.

First of all i have a crap wifi adapter that i have outside my window to get his wifi.

I cant get any closer to it at all. The connection isnt horrible but its not great but it works fine until he is on something like his roku or when his mom is on something.

I'm wondering if maybe there is something i can do maybe hook my own router up or something? i cant currently pay for internet or anything at all at the moment im in a bad spot but i was wondering if maybe i can do some fancy bullish to get better connection and maybe speeds overall i have a few routers and modems but i cant connect them to his router or connect an ethernet to his because its so far and his moms a pain in the ass lol

Idk if theres much i can do here but any suggestions would be nice. overall i get decent connection but if him or his mom is on anything my connection and speeds just die

Its because its Frontier. They are one step away from going out of business. ADSL which is what Frontier deployed is not even broadband under the current FCC definition. The fact is, their connection is probably so shitty that if one person does something like steaming it fucks every other person over. The fact is they need better internet plan. The biggest issue is Frontier is probably giving them the fastest plan the line supports. And if you do live in BFE like you said, the cable company wont wire up those areas as they are not profitable enough. So, you stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Thanks for all the replies guys. i figured there wasnt much i could do considering Donut417 is right there a slow internet connection in the first place and if someone gets on the internet for something simple like netflix or youtube it just destroys everyone else thats on it
