what should i do with the drive afterwards?

Destroy it I suppose to protect your data, or take it apart and keep the platters for coaster and extract the powerful magnets to use for other things.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Yea penting sectors means you have data loss and errors. You should replace this drive now.

I have a drive with a similar thing marked for "Caution" running for the past two years now.

So, I would buy a new drive, but keep the older one around for nonessential data until it dies.
