Qnix QX21010LED 1440p question regarding DVI-D to HDMI cable?

Xemos

Im looking into getting a new graphics card, only problem is the vega 56 i'm getting only supports Display portx2 and HDMI x2. My old QNIX monitor is DVI-D only, is it possible to get a DVI-D to HDMI cable (Monitor DVI-D to HDMI gpu) and it work? It will only be a secondary monitor, not my main gaming monitor. Thanks!

DVI and HDMI are cross compatible. DP (DisplayPort) also supports outputting DVI, HDMI, and VGA natively using passive adapters.

I would get whatever is cheapest. You can probably find a DVI to HDMI cable for like $10.
