Sony A7 internal microphone

Hi there peeps,

 

I was wondering do any of you know does the sony A7 (regular one, not R, not S, 1st generation) has an internal mic?

 

I don't care if it's shit I literally just need it to be there just incase.

I imagine most phones have mics with some opening to the outside

Most cameras do have microphones and I'd be very surprised if the Sony A7 didn't. They're usually used for syncing audio in post though and not for recording usable audio.

Yes it does, just scroll down to audio, although I'm sure its as useless as any built in mic. If you are wondering about it, there's a chance you might need it, in which case, just buy a small microphone from rode just in case instead. 

 

tbh, the a7's mic though is in the bottom quartile of its drawbacks. If you haven't bought it yet, perhaps we can give you some advice?

I ordered it and now am waiting for it to come, yea I know it's useless and literally need it just to sync up stuff in post
