Do you have actual rebutable source detailing this? The link only gives headline of some podcast. Not any mention of what these "linux and open source" companies are etc.

I don't know if you noticed that "some podcast" is Bryan Lunduke, i.e. this guy:

etc...

I mean, a "reputable source" would be someone sourcing from Lunduke...

With reputable source I meant tech news site which would be known for more than just HC Linux users. Plus, it's still just pre-text for podcast. If I can't read about main points, it's not more than commentary on some rumors.

Microsoft has been taking pages out of the Linux book for some time. I remember when I took a Win Server 2003 course in 08/09, the instructor told us one of the biggest changes from Server 03 to 08 was the power of the command line. Which is where Linux gains a lot of its power from. Then you got the User Access Control that is similar to what pops up in Linux if you need to do a Sudo command aka need admin privileges.

I wonder if they are doing this because they want to start supporting Linux in some way. I mean they already write software for Mac OS, iOS and Android. So maybe they want to make some of their software Linux capable. Seeing how people are not 100% warming up to Windows 10. Maybe in the future Microsoft will release its own Linux OS. Who knows.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
