Is there still life for an Iphone 6 in 2018?

TheGeeker

Debating on whether or not to get apple to replace the battery in an iphone 6 that I have. It dies in about 8-10 minutes of regular use. At this point I am not sure if the battery is worth replacing and if it would fix all the issues. Should I replace the battery or just scrap the phone?

If it costs anything less than 100 bucks, its worth it, even if you'd only use it as an mp3 player.

i5 6600k and GTX 1070 but I play 1600-900. 1440p BABY!

Still, don't put too much faith in my buying decisions. xD

Not sure on quality but could always return it.

It still runs iOS 11, it might not get iOS 12 but I bet it will. So simply put, yeah. Just might be a little laggy at times.

If you live in California you should be able to get the battery replaced at a repair store, at a much lower price.

That's all the info I've got atm though, sorry.

Yes, why not, my wife's Iphone 4s still used today as a backup phone.

Iphone 6 still has a lot of tech for 2-3 more years.

Apple battery is relatively cheap, but the swap is not going to be easy as the screen is glued.

Go to your local apple repair shop, not apple real store, ask for the change.

Probably go to apple direct as IIRC its only 29$ due to their battery crisis

yeah if it is only $29, some times apple charges extraordinary amount for just a battery change.

I couldn't personally deal with the ugliness of those battery cases but if that doesn't bother you it would seem to be a good solution.  Getting a battery replaced on an iPhone 6 probably wouldn't cost all that much, but the case would significantly upgrade your battery life.  With Verizon's installment plan option I simply buy a new phone every year so have never had to worry about battery degradation.  I can't believe your iPhone 6 is performing THAT bad though, after only 3-4 years!
