I recently got the AX860 for my rig, and a thought came to mind when installing it. Since it has a 7 year warranty, that means I basically dont have to upgrade my PSU for seven years? It got all the features I need. Platinum, SLI and CF ready. Why would I need to upgrade it at all? GPU's can only get more efficient in the future. What are your thoughts?

Nope, you'll probably neved need to upgrade.

Well, unless standards change (i.e. what connectors stuff use). But even then you'll probably be able to get an adapter

u wont have to change it but in 7yrs there could be something completely different and new or like @rhyseyness said could be new connectors the only time i seeing that happening is if everything is so low power it needs a special connector or everything becomes small and u need a small psu to fit the case.
