I'm about to pull the trigger and purchase a Fatal1ty Z370 Gaming K6. It seems to have all the features I want and a fairly good over clocker.

Its primary use will be for VR/Gaming with an 8700k and 16gb g.skill 3200 cl14

I'm hoping to get an opinion on the board its self, personal experiences if possible. I've been dead set on buying this board for the last two months. But now the last couple reviews on new egg were a little concerning though. 5-6 said it died after a month, seemed kind of odd.

Anyway, for the price is it worth it or should I keep looking for alternatives? I'm new to overclocking and this is my first real build. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Do you already have a GPU for this system?

Why not save some cash with an R5 1600?

I honestly dont really put much stock into reviews on Newegg or Amazon for most. I will look at them, but really dont let them influence my decision to buy as most people who have good experiences wont post a review, while those with negative, will post immediately so it can make the reviews seem a bit skewed. If its got what you want, then go for it. The Fatality line up from Asrock is a long running one with a good name.

Yes I do, I have the new CPU, memory, a 1060 6g and a 1440 144hz g-synch monitor, so I'm staying NVIDIA, currently have a fx8350 build that I will be swapping the parts on.

Kind of my sentiment as well, thank you for the response.

Sell the GPU for like $400 and live with a Ryzen APU a while, though that's the crazy option, but it does get you a potentially better GPU in the near future for the money.
