Hello i am starting to learn unity and i was wondering what you guys think the recommend specs to run unity should be? The website says it runs on a really low potato computer but i don't want to be waiting for the computer to load and run when i am in the computer. I was thinking about getting a budget laptop to work on it. What do you guys think a i3 or a i5? How much ram 8gb or 16gb? i know for sure i am putting in a 1tb ssd. let me know your thoughts please.

well, my intel core 2 duo e8400, from like 10 years ago, ran it fine one year ago. with fine i mean for a basic game it's good enough, so an i3 is very good for basic unity development

We need to know what you're going to be using it for, because a simulation would need some Ryzen 5/7 CPU, but for something like making a game with relatively non-demanding scripts, then you could get away with something like a i5-2320 and a 1050.

(I left out the stuff that you can fill in, like the case, and don't trust the prices on PCpartpicker, it's usually right, but sometimes, massively off)
