Go look at benchmarks, intel CPUs performs better in gaming.

There is no CPU better than the 8700K for gaming.

Don't buy a PC based on what RAM generation you would like.

RAM generation means nothing to performance. And in many cases, RAM performance doesn't do anything. Except now in does in Ryzen's case where you kind of need DDR4-3000 or better to make the most of it. Most Intel based systems don't really need faster RAM to perform their best

I'm was literally on skype helping a buddy with his new 8700k setup.  He was not happy with his Ryzen gaming experience.
