The grammar thread.

Hello everyone

 

I am really sorry if I messed up this or there is a live thread/poll on this subject somewhere, but I couldn't find anything  :unsure:

 

Anyway: It has been a while since I came on this forum now and I have seen a lot of strange grammar in different threads here. Therefore i just wanted to know: How many people actually care about correct/proper grammar on forums (one of the questions above) and social media and elsewhere on the internet?

 

Just curious so vote away!

 

Oh: I kind of mean punctuation as well, but my own isn't the best (I hope my grammar is good though...), but mainly grammar mistakes and such

I'm French so I can make errors in English, it's not a problem, but for you English-speaking guys, I think you should learn proper English, for the internet AND IRL.

i care about it, but i sometimes make a mistake, its not my native language. When i dont know how to spell it i will probably (had to look that one up ) check how to spell it

the same can be said about fonts, when you write in comic sans you cant expect people to take you serious....

I hate when people use bad grammar. It makes me even more mad when they use bad grammar then apologize for it in the same post; if you know its bad just fix it.

It's sad when a foreigner's spelling is better than some 'Muricans

Exactly I don't know why people who don't know words can't look them up. At the very worst you would get the wrong translation.

Pardon my French *cough* *cough* Sorry for my bad english... But i'm not a native speaker so i can make some errors sometimes.

 

And i think that there are more people in the same situations as me.

 

Probably there are some grammar errors in this comment, feel free to correct me, that's how we learn.

I don't care if someone has bad grammar when regularly talking/typing. It pisses me off when they expect me to take them seriously in arguments.

 

This was an argument I had a while ago (No pictures):

Me: Why would I kill myself for providing proof with a credible source?

Guy: face the facks dude im right ur rong

 

I REFUSE to take that seriously. I just end up laughing.
