Secondary Monitor

Richywilson

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a second monitor for my PC https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/b/WmVYcf

Preferably I'd like a 1440p monitor that's 27" to match my current one. The current monitor is a Qnix 2710 which has a DVI-D input. So I can only assume I'd need a different model of monitor for the second monitor as my GTX 1070 only has one DVI-D input slot avaialble by the looks of things.

Do you guys have any recommendations? The cheaper the better obviously :)

Cheers

go to PCpartpicker monitor section

filter only 27'' 1440p monitors (maybe also only IPS)

sort by lowest price

buy the lowest price one that looks good, feels good, etc.

the monitors come with a cable which you will be able to connect to your GPU. usually it's HDMI or DP, so no conflicts there. if there is a conflict, a dongle is like $5 so no big deal.

You can use an adapter to convert any of the DisplayPort or HDMI port to DVI-D.

DisplayPort, HDMI, and DVI are all digital signals, so you don't need an expensive adapter.

Heck, you can also get a HDMI-to-DVI cable.

$2.99. Boom. End of Job.
