Sloooow BOOT in WIndows 10

Hey!

 

I have a problem with my PC boot time. It used to be good and snappy but lately the boot time has crumbled. It takes MINUTES to boot even though I have a SATA SSD. I know that NVMe would be faster but right now the problem isn't the normal boot time but the fact that it was fast and now it's really slow....

 

Any help?

Slow boot or slow POST? That can be caused by features like memory checks and smart selftests enabled in bios

Slow boot. It goes through post screen pretty quick but the windows loading logo is where it takes its time.

 

Also, I haven't enabled any checks and tests. It just got slow all by it's own.

Did you install any security software or anti-virus? Many have a reputation of crawling Windows startup time.

I have AVAST but I had it way before the boot time went so slow

Is this a clean install of the OS originally, do you have the latest chipset drivers installed and have you checked to see what's running at startup that shouldn't be? Your specs may be of use to us with this.

I did a clean install about 6 months ago. And I have the latest drivers and also I also have only a few startup programs which I always have had.
