Posted March 12, 2018 ramencupofjoy, 1. Wonderful name. Dank. 2. Can you specify, do you mean that it hangs when YOU open it, or when the OS opens it on start-up? (You open it) Well, this is just one of those things that can become annoying really quickly, so you could use another browser, if you wanted, like Edge, or Opera, but yeah, more RAM and a faster storage solution would be the only way to help it, not fix though. (OS Opens it at start-up) Remove it from the start-up menu, by right clicking on the task bar at the bottom, Start Task Manager, going into the Start-up tab, then clicking on Google Chrome and pressing disable at the bottom. After this, a re-boot might be necessary (it won't prompt you) Another possibility, could be you have either a virus (run a scan and see what happens) or a piece of malware has changed some of the settings in Google Chrome, so they could have changed the Start-up options or changed the Search engine, Just reset these to what they should be and see what happens, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
