I’ve decided I’d like to move away from iPhone and iOS and would like to move BACK to Android. But which of the two should I choose? I picked out the larger models as I do prefer the larger screen.

Personally i like the pixel 2 XL more. But the s9 is coming out and has variable aperture in the camera. I would wait for reviews of that to come out.
