Hi everyone. Googled a lot but still missing some information and benchmarks about Intel ****T CPUs. Story is that few months ago I've built few custom short 1U servers with i5-7400 and VMware using active cooling. Used THERMALTAKE Engine 27. Under load I get about 68°C. Now I'm looking to improve the future builds using something like i5-7600T and 1U passive cooler. I know that this is dependant on the case, rack cage. But are ****T CPUs cooler?

A week ago I've bought myself G4560T for NAS and put into COOLER MASER N200 with one 120mm cooler and default intel cooler. Under full load after an hour I get ~43°C. Any ideas if i5-****T will be cool also?

Attached few photos of the 1U case.

They will be cooler as they can't make as much heat.

Idle power on all t and non-t chips are about the same, so unless its under load there will be almost no difference.

Performance and power will be simmilar on the 7600t and the 7400. The t chips aren't much more efficent at a given clock., there mainly just lower clocked versions.

If you really want faster, get a low clocked i7.
