I use a Note 8 that is currently on Android 7.0 and considering to upgrade but I have been reading forums and blogs stating app crashes, compatibility and battery life issues. But I want to hear from you guys - what's your thought on Android 8.0?

I've had my OnePlus 5T on Oreo 8.0.1 for a week now and don't have any issues with Android itself. There are many apps that have weird bugs, partly due to the new screen ratio, and party due to the version of Android combined with the OnePlus 5T hardware, but otherwise it works well. The nice thing is I have the choice of a variety of ROM's via XDA-Developers.com so if I find something that works better than stock, I can flash away and get a much better experience.

I have a Sony XZ1 on Oreo, its so far the best phone I have had in general, but one thing thats really annoying is that with every update sony pushed it resets my dictionary and i have to teach it my words again. pretty difficult job when i speak and write multiple languages and the phone is struggling to keep up, so usually i spell like a disaster up to a week after an update and then its learning its way back.

has nothing to do with oreo, more to do with sony. the os is brilliant

btw, this phone has outstanding batterylife of 24h+ and thats on a daily basis when i use it, so over weekends i usually only have to charge once as i use it less, thats very much to do with sony and some real clever battery software tweaks they have build in

My Gaming PC: 27833

Use Gboard. It has a dictionary that is linked to your Google account and can be saved & re-synced anytime you want. Admittedly i only ever save tech acronyms & a few cuss words, so YMMV with multiple languages.
