ill be using for music listening and some casual gaming on the side. i generally listen to songs with quite a bit of bass.

I just purchased a pair with Brainwaves HM5 angled ear pads (due to "max_settings" recommendations)

This might be slightly over your budget but well worth it IMO but you HAVE to get the angled ear pads..
