Water Cooling Brands

DaveKerk

Hi all!

I love EK stuff. However they are often kinda pricey. I was wondering what you guys think about Alpha Cool or any of the other brands out there. Suggestions? Just looking for a good but a little bit cheaper water cooling company.

Thanks!

Dave

I’d get their rads, that’s about it. The part will decide the brand I get.

If you aren’t looking in performance PCs for parts, that will give you pretty much everything available.

Main RIg Corsair Air 540, I7 9900k, ASUS ROG Maximus XI Hero, G.Skill Ripjaws 3600 32GB, 3090FE, EVGA 1000G5, Acer Nitro XZ3 2560 x 1440@240hz

Spare RIg Lian Li O11 AIR MINI, I7 4790K, Asus Maximus VI Extreme, G.Skill Ares 2400 32Gb, EVGA 1080ti, 1080sc 1070sc & 1060 SSC, EVGA 850GA, Acer KG251Q 1920x1080@240hz

I would get EK for waterblocks. Alphacool or HW Labs for radiators, pumps+res can be from anywhere, but I'd personally get a reservoir from Singularity Computers. Tubing, coolant, fittings, and any other accessories don't really matter where they are from.

EK make crappy blocks(not garbage, they are still servicable but far from what id pick) but good rads and other stuff.

watercool make the best blocks

alphacool are kinda dicks but they make good blocks, rads arent bad either but they need to be cleaned quite a bit

bitspower for fittings if you want the best of the best

mayhems for fluid and soft tubes

XSPC make decent rads too

watercooling rads are some of the easiest to buy used, just make sure you get pictures of anything that looks like it could be damage so its not pierced and they should be good if you just clean them. waterblocks are also entirely fine to buy used, and so are fittings.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
