AMD is my preference.  Not had a desktop Intel since the P133Mhz.

AMD since intel failed me with their skylake bug and their horrible customer communication. "Nooo our cpus are the best, no issues" while I crashed daily for no reason. Then hop, skylake bug, RMA that cpu, new one runs fine. Jumped to 1800x, not going back :) 

 

besides, I already have heating at home, don't need an intel-branded heater.
