Dota for sure. Are you new to dota?
I have been playing dota for 5 years. But I have not played for 6 months because: "games are ruining your life" "dad... This is my first game of the week..." "Don't argue with me!" *breaks laptop* so yea... Fuck my life... I will start playing in mid may when I have a fully functional pc.

Dota for sure. Are you new to dota?
Ah ok. Yeah I buy my own PC parts so that does not happen :D . Do you play on UK servers? I too think the community is better than LoL and HoN (Except for the Russians) . I started playing last year, got pretty decent at it in about 4 months, so I would say the game can be grasped quite easily. Before Dota 2 the only games Ive ever played were FPS. After Dota 2 I cant see myself going back to FPS pro league scene.

My Mobile Devices: HTC Dream (G1) Rooted, HTC Bravo (Desire) Rooted, Samsung Galaxy SII Rooted, Samsung Galaxy Note II Rooted, iPhone 4s Jailbroken, iPad 2 Jailbroken

I prefer LoL over Dota mainly because its the game I first started playing and some of my friends and me agree that Dota feels like there's just that slight delay unlike LoL and we don't really like it so we've just sat with LoL.
Ahh I see, I don't experience any delay though. One of the reasons I didn't get into lol is because you have to purchase your campions... And you have to buy runes to increase your skill in game... And for me that just wasn't right...

One of the most fun times was playing dota on lan all the time but that doesn't happen anymore, most of my age and younger are all playing LoL and i tried playing it but it feels boring and pay 2 win. On the other side i have had dota 2 since 2011 and have around 800 hours but every 2 3 months i take a brake but now im mostly playing FPS like battlefield because i cant find proper teammate that live here and i used to play only WoW and Warcraft 3/Dota.

I wont disagree in saying that DOTA/DOTA 2 requires greater knowledge and skill to play but imo LOL feels cleaner, with the more simplistic approach making it a bit easier to get into and play. I did start out a bit with the original DOTA, though I wasn't any good and both paths are still fun.

LOL community REALLY does suck though, at most times anyways!

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

Definitely DotA. (DotA 2 now) I play both games and in all seriousness, LoL is more of a casual 'I just wanna chill' game, for competitive games i have a team on DotA 2 :)

It's not that LoL is a bad game, but it lacks the complexity and depth of DotA to allow it's gameplay to branch out as greatly as such

I most definitely prefer Dota 2 as a moba, the seer complexity of the game mechanics and the complex algorithms used for real-time calculation of damage distribution against damage mitigation is really interesting. Dota 2 isn't running on the Warcraft 3 engine like LoL is, so there are many less engine limitations, which means more interesting mechanics, etc. The learning curve for Dota 2 is very harsh though, which can be really off-putting for some would-be players.

I do like LoL as a game, I just find it much more casual then Dota 2.

I have never played LoL before, always played Dota, but from what I can see, LoL is more skilled optimized, wheres Dota is more "countering hero" optimized.

LoL is like, you can shoot and dodge a lot of skills, wheres in Dota there's only a few skills you can actually dodge. Dota also has much nicer graphics in my opinion compared to LoL. LoL looks very cartoonist, and HoN is just...oh god...

I personally prefer LoL over Dota, but that is probably because i started with league and then tried dota afterwards, i feel as if i had tried dota first things might be different but i just prefer the way gameplay feels in league, to me it's more smooth and fluid. I can't really compare graphics, as they both have very different artistic styles, but i find dota to be a bit dark, which tbh i kinda dislike about it. Overall i think the communities are the same, you can't change peoples personalities, and it doesn't matter what game there playing they're going to be the same as long as they continue to be anonymous.

My very not well thought out 2 cents

I played LoL since beta, quit few months ago and went to Dota.

I instantly loved dota 2 more, the heros have way more interesting ability's then in LoL where its like skill shot, a stronger attack, small aoe and burst. THATS ABOUT ALL you get in LoL.

people do say "dota 2 is very hard to get into" but i kind of disagree if you have some moba experience it should not be to hard except for you know learning the champions. I'm bad at at explaining but i do enjoy it more

To Delion: It might not be actual delay, it could just be the way that heroes move, it gives a feeling of being more responsive. The main thing I can think of is that dota has pretty slow (more realistic) turn animation, whereas in lol if you click behind, the hero instantly turns around. This is especially noticeable when casting behind you since the hero turns around to cast in dota but not league.

I'm a LoL player, and when I first played Dota 2 I found it very difficult. I think because LoL is more of a faster-passed game where you can spam your abilities, while on the other hand Dota has a more serious feel and strategy really counts.

I do enjoy both games but I prefer LoL. :P
