AMD Boot Kit?

With the release of the 2400G and 2200G, I am curious of this "Boot kit" AMD is offering for older motherboards that need to be flashed. Anyone know what this boot kit looks like or what it is?

Scoured the net but seems no one has yet to actually got this "Boot kit" and what its compatibility with which mobos.

I think they will send you a very poor CPU that's barely working to slap into the socket; update the bios and dispose it.

Can't be just a bios update. Too many mobos and a lot of them don't support bios flash with no CPU. Can anyone confirm they actually give an EOL CPU for boot kit?

Its a loaner CPU. To get a bootkit you must do a rma process.

Which i think you must return your current cpu to get a swap.

And after updating bios you return that cpu to get your cpu back.

The cheapest APU still cost $60, why would they give it for free?
