GTX 960 already struggles even at 1080p so you might wanna step up. If gaming is a priority you should allocate budget to less focus on CPU and more on GPU. And TBH, 1200 canadian is not cut it for 4K unless the games are super light.

Hi

I have a budget of 1200 $ for now and I´m thinking about this config https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/4mcj4q

I have a gtx 960 and ssd hard disc from mi old PC and next month I will buy a better graphic card.

Could I play 4k in this pc? What card should I buy?

Thanks.

For 4k i'd say at least a 1080. But all graphics cards are really overpriced right now, so im not sure i would go for 4k gaming.

Minesweeper, probably. Maybe the garbage-tier mobile games ported to the Windows store, but nothing of any real consequence with a 960. For 4K on a AAA title, the 1080 is really the bare minimum. The 1080 Ti is a much better card for it, but good luck finding either one of those at a price lower than the typical down payment on a large suburban home.

I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.

This wont play 4K games well until you give it the graphics card upgrade. That, even when mining isnt a thing, still cost $600 CAD to do... We'll keep a close eye on new GPU launching later this year, but expect spending at least $700 CAD (because mining is a thing), more like $750 CAD for a new graphics card capable of doing so.

Windowed side panel won't go with Noctua imo
