NVIDIA Quadro M4000 8GB for Mining

Hello!

I found a NVIDIA Quadro M4000 8GB from HP for $768 and its in-stock. Is this a good card for mining using Nicehash? Let me know.

I doubt that the hashrate will be strong enough. It's around 1,2MH/s when you mine ETH, at least if you trust online sources.

But I would be mining using Nicehash so payment is made in BTC even though it mines alt-coins.

Quadro, tesla, firepro all this kind of stuff is made for accuracy and volume of work done in a scientific environment, not speed.  In mining you want speed.

Can it mine, yes, but your return on investment will be very far down the road.

This is basically a 970 and will mine at that rate, or probably slightly slower due to the slower clocks.

If your getting a quadro for mining, get a p series at least, those are eqv to the 10xx series, but 800 for a 1070 is still a bit steep.

I wouldnt buy it. Better get some Antminer S9 and mine for yourself with much profit. It's still profitable if you pay less for electricity.
