Asus Crosshair VI Hero. New bios, new problems?

Hiho,

 

Does anyone have ASUS Crosshair VI Hero motherboard or something Ryzen related? I recently updated BIOS to the latest one, but instead of having 59C temp on my CPU under full load I was getting 77C. I downgraded and it's back to normal. Both tested with the same OC, just different bioses. Old one seems to be better. Any idea what's up? New bioses take more voltage?

I'm also having the same issue and just downgraded to version 3008. Not sure what's going on tbh

I got 1403, best for me. Memory isn't at 3200 but 2933. Still, I'd rather have that and 59C OC under full load than 3200Mhz memory and 77-80C under full load lol.

 

I asked on ASUS forum and got no response. Idk what's going on.

Oh ok. I remembered Ryzen chips used to have a temp sensor bug that raised the temp up to 20C in the first days of Ryzen. IDK if that's the case.

No, with 1403 that bug doesn't exist. It was only the very beginning. I thought it was that too, but it's not. Every program was showing it. Ryzen Master mainly.

I can guarantee that in The Division temps were at 75C occassionally and mostly at 65-68 and during stress test 77-80.

 

Stock 1800X no OC to memory or core resulted in 63.8C temps. YES AT STOCK. With H155i.
