As an owner of that exact card.... Not really. The only thing to watch out for is if you ever wanted to SLI that card, it's picky on WHICH EVGA 970 you can SLI with.

I don't want sli just the card but is there any throtle issues? Or something like that?

Definitely not. Mine stays 68-70ºC after about three years of use. Part of me wonders what would happen if I changed it's thermal paste, but it's not necessary since I'm more than happy with that temperature as a whole.
