Hi everyone,

(Was inspired by YetAnotherTechChannel on youtube)

Sorry if I put it in the wrong topic, not sure if this is the right one to be categorized in..

I am converting an old crappy laptop to desktop. I am upgrading the parts as below:

Original laptop parts (Toshiba Satellite C675) :        Upgrades:

CPU Intel Core i3-2350M Dual Core @ 2.30GHZ - Can't Upgrade :(

GPU Intel HD Graphics 3000                                 - Can't upgrade, might do extrnal GPU

RAM 4GB of something                                          - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1866

SSD 240gb SanDisk SSD+                                    - Already Upgraded

Some kind of wifi card but meant to be in display  - AR9462 AR5B22 Combo WiFi 2.4G/5G & Bluetooth 4.0 module

Reason for this random project:

Uh because I wanted to start doing more projects and to see what I can do.

The project also seems like a lot of fun to do.

Don't see many people converting a laptop into a desktop with custom case and everything.

Why this crappy laptop?

Cause it's all I had laying around and I don't have enough money to get a better laptop new or used.

What I have done from starting the post?

Well I already have stripped the laptop down and have the motherboard and everything out booted with windows 10.

What I plan on doing further on the project:

I plan on building my own case for this.

Use it as a media pc.

Please leave feedback and have any idea's I'd love to hear them!!
