It should be noted that aside from this issue that my PC is otherwise fully functioning.

I finally got around to installing a GeForce gtx 1050 ti into my PC. I was previously just scooting by on the integrated graphics. It worked fine for a few months without issue. Then out of nowhere stopped booting the GPU.

I've determined that applying light downward pressure can locate a "sweet spot" that make it boot up(unscrewed). But that sometimes doesn't work even while it's screwed in. I've tried reseating the GPU several times, replugging the power, and switch to my other pci slot. None of which are working. I know when it does work because the fans spin immediately.

The PC still boots properly just without the GPU. It seems like some sort of connection issue with the Mobo and GPU, which I would expect to see damage to the GPU connectors but it appears flawless to me. I will include my PC specs and several images to aid my solution the best I can.

PC specs

Intel core I7-4790k @ 4.00 GHz 4 cores

G.SKILL Ares series 2X8GB DDR3 2400

MSI Z97 PC mate

Windows 10 pro

Gigabyte GeForce gtx 1050TI 4GB 128bit GDDR5

The connection in question is PCI Express 3.0

PS: please excuse my bad cable management.

does the GPU work in the other PCIe slot? if so, your top slot might be dusty, or worse, defective.
