Can we turn off the PC without power button

Hi there I was wondering.

can I turn off the PC without using power button.

I mean like jump the front pannel power pin using conductive material.

I’ve seen several turorial, but it only show how to turn it on using screwdriver.

Can I also turn it off like that?

I don't know about the pins on the motherboard, but you can flip the switch on the back of the power supply to turn it off instantly

yeah, hold it for a few seconds

any conductive stuff will do, screwdriver is best though

just hold the stuff between the Power SW pins

Yeah, bridging the pins for the front panel power switch will turn it off. That's literally what the power button does in the first place, so just using something metal to bridge them will work.

yes thats doing exactly the same thing that the power button does when you press it

Yep. I've had to do this many times. Just hold a screwdriver there for maybe 2 and half seconds and the pc will shut down. Start up takes maybe a full second. It seems weird the first time, but it's 100% natural and designed to do just that. It's much, much better than just killing power from the wall.
