What do you do on a Mac?

flamer7

Hey there guys I recently got the new rMbp 15, and switching over from Windows, I'll say it's pretty alright. Even so, I get pretty bored when I don't game. Currently, I use it to watch youtube videos, watch movies. Can you guys tell me what else I should do? No trolls please.

You could install windows? The hardware is nice albeit overpriced but windows (and possibly Linux/SteamOS) will be my OS from now until forever. Unless you're a content creator (music/video) I don't have anything else to suggest. Maybe try creating content if you don't already?

Well, what do you usually use a PC for?

Use spotlight, search for terminal, open it.

Once its open, type the following

emacs -batch -l dunnet
(no troll)

hit enter and enjoy ;)

I don't have a mac, but if I were forced at gunpoint to get one I would install windows and ubuntu on it.

I would install Windows, if that's possible.

Unless you bought a Mac because you're a content creator, otherwise, I really don't see why you did..

Very well, then. I didn't think of that so quickly.

I thought it was more difficult to install Windows on the "retina" Macs.

Do they teach you?

Word process, code and video/photo edit on the go!

Any websites which teach you coding/ video and photo editing?

Well a master race wouldn't know that....

To love is to risk not being loved in return. To hope is to risk pain. To try is to risk failure, but risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.

I sort of just learned it here and there on my own, not really a website I followed!

Keep in mind I just the Adobe suite for my needs (Photoshop, Premiere, After effects, Dreamweaver)

That way I can seamlessly transfer work between my workstation and Retina Pro.

Wait, just bought a computer, wait an expensive computer and you don't have anything to do with it ? Btw. what's with this: Mac and content creation...I'm a graphic designer, never had and never will use a mac..for the same reasons everyone who uses a pc doesn't.

OK I don't wan't to be a dick, learn to code-or make aps..that is a good idea.

That's why I said "get into..."

I just meant that because not many big-name developers make games for macs, it's an option to pick up games from one of the biggest companies that does.
