Weird GPU usage and Power Usage while playing Overwatch

Hi guys,

PC Config.

Spoiler

This is my rig:

i7 6700K no OC and no Turbo Enabled. 4Ghz clock speed

MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G (No OC with afterburner, just stock settings.

MSI H170 GAMING M3

DDR4 16Gb 2133Mhz D8 Kingston KVR21N15D8/16

PSU Aerocool 750W Retail KCAS-750M

Windows 10 64bit

So here what i have

https://youtu.be/YPPsKYWdEa8

First of all its not me playing , i just joined a custom game as a spectator and recorded the gameplay with nvidia Geforce Experience.

Playing on low settings , 1080p.

To clarify the numbers , in the GPU row:

  1. GPU usage
  2. Temperature
  3. Clock Speed
  4. Power
  5. Fan Speed

Mem Row ,i think is self-explanatory.

CPU Row

  1. Temperature
  2. Usage
  3. Clock Speed

and after that is every cpu thread usage.

And FPS counter.

So as you can see from the video , my GPU usage is kinda low , especially when watching the hanzo gameplay (Hanzo).

The temperatures are fine i guess , the thread usage i dont know about that. Gpu power usage is a bit too low i think.

So the bottom line is i dont know what causing this , and you can clearly see that my FPS is dropping to 200 ,especially with hanzo. I know that 200 fps is ok , but still i am just curious why my gpu not working fully.

I read somewhere that maybe RAM clock speed is an issue , 2133 Mhz maybe cant keep up ,or something like that.

Any ideas? :)

That's because you play at 1080p low settings with GTX 1070.

Of course your GPU is not being utilised fully as you are hitting CPU limits at these kind of FPS.

You need to OC your CPU to get more FPS and you still have a room to increase your graphical settings without it affecting and lowering your current FPS.

Yes, OCing RAM would definitely help as well but it would make only small difference if you won't OC your CPU too.
