Tricking a device to connect to a Network Share through a FAT32 USB

Guest

Alright, this is a bit of an usual query.

I have a device (Specifically a Soundcraft Ui16 Mixer) which has a USB port to save recordings onto a USB thumb drive. Instead of storing these recordings onto a USB thumb drive, I would like to automatically place the generated files onto a NAS (Synology DS218).

Note that the mixer will only recongise a USB device formatted as FAT32.

I have no idea if this is possible, however havd been thinking about if a Raspberry Pi can be connected to the network and to the port somehow to automatically move files from the drive to the NAS.

I'd appreciate any guidance on how this could be achieved, thanks!

Um not to sure on that. Talk to a Linux expert. LINUX EXPERTS, ASSEMBLE! I do see it being possible by the way.

The geek himself.
