So I have an Active Directory and my laptop and the domain controller are in the same domain. The domain controller can see all user accounts, pcs, printers, shares, etc. My laptop cannot see these...

Rundll32 dsquery.dll OpenQueryWindow

Heres the output of that command on my laptop vs the domain controller:

I tried removing my laptop from the domain and rejoining and that doesn't solve this issue. My laptop is signed into my account RYOIS\Ryois and it is a member of Administrators group.I have an app that allows me to view users in Active Directory on my iPad and it shows users just fine... Also on the domain controller signed into the same account as my laptop it can see the users.

Please help!

Firstly, can you resolve your domain from your laptop and the server name.

Sorry for the late reply. I couldn't resolve domain names even though my AD server was top DNS priority. Then I left and rejoined the domain and that fixed it for some reason.. Windows being stupid again?

Okay, that narrows it down. Does your server give IP addresses or your get that from your router? Make sure that your client PC/Laptops are configured to use your DC's IP as the DNS server.

My laptop and DC have static IPs and are configured to use my DC as the DNS server.

Can you try another PC/Laptop?
