PS4 in Backpack

I thought about doing a briefcase PC but seeing the PS4 Slim is only $250 and it’s now much smaller I got the idea to put it in a backpack. So I’m going to take my spare monitor and it’s small enough that I can take the base off and mount it in the backpack with padding room on the sides too. I’ll have padding with velcro that will roll up on the top so I can roll it down and not destroy the screen against my back when wearing the backpack. The next compartment will house the PS4. It’ll be aligned inside so the vents will blow out the sides of the backpack. I’ll cut slots and put some mesh over it so it’s breathable. Then in the next compartment is the router. It’ll connect to the PS4 with Ethernet directly but I still have to work out  using it as an end point or repeater as I won’t always have direct Ethernet access. Reason I’m using a router is I can install a VPN on it for privacy when gaming in sketchy spots or for LAN play. But if you can install a VPN on a PS4 then I probably won’t need it. In the bottom there is a power strip exsteneion cord combo so I will be able to plug everything in with one cable. I also might consider putting the battery bank Austin Evans featured in the bottom l. But it’s expensive and I’m always near power. So you think it’ll work? Any suggestions?

I'd suggest a more professional form factor other than the "backpack" form factor.

 

For example look how lugable electronics are usually packaged in hard cases with handles. I'd suggest building it into a pelican case.

another good reason to make this look as professional as possible , people might think you're carrying a homemade bomb. So best make it LOOK like an expensive piece of equipment

If you do end up doing this, please post a build log here. I'd like to see any issues you may have run into and what the final product looks like.

 

Anyways, for the VPN. If you will be carrying a laptop around with you, you could save some space by connecting the PS4 to your laptop (instead of an external router) with an ethernet crossover cable and share you computer's internet connection with it.
