Looking for a good set of aftermarket fans

Zakara

Hey dudes,

I've just finished a new build and my system is very, very pleasing.

Though I am looking to replace the stock fans that came with my AIO water cooler purely for noise purposes. I have a custom fan curve set up in "Corsair Link" but when playing games and also when the system is under heavy load, the noise is still rather noticeable.

Essentially, I am looking for any recommendations on the best, quiet aftermarket 120mm fans. Also, I wondered if the hype behind LED fans is worth it? Complete noob in this area.

I have a total of 6 fans in my rig, so if affordable I'd like to swap all the stock fans for quiet ones.

Thanks for reading,

Jack.

There are millions of different fans out there, the best is ofcourse Noctua, but pretty expensive sometimes.

I have 4 Corsair ML120 PRO, maglev fans and they do me very good. Not a lot of sound, and have great cooling potential.

Basically, Noctua is best, Corsair comes 2nd for me.

LED fans are like mjeh.

You don´t loose anything but getting them really, usually a bit more expensive, but if you buy from one of the bigger brands you wont loose performance atleast.

Case: Corsair Graphite 760T || PSU: Corsair RM650i || Mobo: Asus RoG Strix Z270E || CPU: Intel i5-7600K @4.8GHz || Cooler: Corsair H110i v2 || RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200MHz 16GB White LED || GPU: MSI GTX 1070 8GB GAMING X || SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB, Samsung 860 Evo 500GB, Samsung MZ1280 M.2 128GB || HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB

What are your specs?

Where are you shopping/located? Budget?

Most LED fans aren't very high quality and are generally not the best value if you're looking for performance and good acoustics.

I'm shopping in the UK, and dont have a set budget but would prefer something affordable. I'm looking into Corsair's fans, seem quite promising.

What rpm are you running the case fans at? The FN V2's aren't particularly loud unless you run them at high speeds.

Depending on how much you'd prefer to spend, good options for the H115i include:

Hyperborea: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/gD9KHx/rosewill-case-fan-rocf11003

NF-P14S: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/xs6BD3/noctua-case-fan-nfp14sredux1200pwm

NF-A14: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/dwR48d/noctua-case-fan-nfa14pwm

SW3: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/64M323/be-quiet-bl071-776-cfm-140mm-fan-bl071

Around 1000 at idle/light load speeds, and it will speed up due to my fan curve to around 1500 ish when gaming.

Thanks for the links! I'll take a look.

FN V2's only go up to 1200rpm. Are you sure you're looking at the correct rpm reading? They're fairly quiet at ~600rpm. What are your temps?
