Cooler Master TX3i

Hey guys, im a newbie to this so i'm asking you guys  Will the Cooler Master TX3i work with my i7 7700k? I have a micro atx motherboard (H110m-r)

Yeah, it would work, but why would you want a new one? You can't overclock it anyway.

Im sure you could say yes...it woukd be fine, but i woukd at least go a tier up to a cooler master hyper 212 or a be quiet dark rock slim or a cryorig h7 or

The think is, with new ones, they all seem to have a metal back plate, which shortens my mobo and my pc cant boot up :((

As in, why not use your existing cooler?

Well my existing cooler is my intel stock one, i got it from my old i3 6100, when gaming i seem to get around 80-90c so thats why im upgrading.

If you can afford it I would jump on a cooler master hyper 212 led or evo, they offer really good cooling which seems like not a big deal since your cpu will be fine either way, but when its hot outside having your computer being kept cooler will reduce the amount of heat being kicked out into the room. The only thing is to make sure it will fit in your current case, and if you have a standard atx case I almost guarantee it will.

It's not a new thing. Having a good mount makes a substantial difference in performance and you usually can't get very good cooling without a backplate. 

These backplates almost always come with insulation of some sort that prevents shorting on the back of the motherboard. 

You mentioned that the original insulation was peeling off here:

Just cover it with electrical tape, use some rubber o-rings, or ask Cooler Master for a replacement. Masking tape should also work.

That's not how it works. The system will produce the same amount of heat regardless of how good the cooling is. If you want less heat, use less power hungry components.
