upgrade able for a decent price

Nothing in the PC world is upgradeable at a decent price. But if you can find cards like the RX 480 cheap, that would probably be your best bet.

Please don't mine though, the GPU shortage is bad enough as it is....

Is 2 grapicks cards good?

Is a good cpu needed?

Etc.

1. Which?

2. No

3. Again, youre going to need a lot of upfront investment for a very volatile currency which even if remained at its current price wouldnt make you profit (including upfront cost) for a long time.

yes but then factor in the cost of the parts, for people buying just to mine, they will never make back what they spent

Cost put into mining: 30 USD

Just using old hardware I don't use anymore (7250, 7750) and bought 770 for  $30

I do totally agree with you - that most people (If they just now started investing) wouldn't make back their money - but I don't really see any reason to not mine on older hardware.

I'd not recommend going out and buying any new components - that's a much longer ROI and gives more time for a crash or other failures.

If you're buying the hardware new, mining makes no sense right now. The same card I paid $215 USD for brand new two months ago is selling from the same store $420 USD. You'll be wasting your time and money.

Main System: Phobos

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 (8C/16T), ASRock B450 Steel Legend, 16GB G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000MHz, AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB (XFX), 960GB Crucial M500, 2TB Seagate BarraCuda, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations/macOS Catalina

Secondary System: York

Intel Core i7-2600 (4C/8T), ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, 16GB GEIL Enhance Corsa DDR3 1600MHz, Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, 240GB ADATA Ultimate SU650, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Older File Server: Yet to be named

Intel Pentium 4 HT (1C/2T), Intel D865GBF, 3GB DDR 400MHz, ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB (HIS), 80GB WD Caviar, 320GB Hitachi Deskstar, Windows XP Pro SP3, Windows Server 2003 R2

7250 = .4 USD

7750 = .8 USD

770 = 1.9 USD

1060 (x2) = 4.8 USD ( Current rig)

CPU

8300 = ~1.1 USD (If I remember correctly)

1600x = 1.4 USD (Current rig)

Some super old xeon = .4 USD (Current rig / old)

Total:.0009 btc or 10.8 USD/ day or around.

I was only listing old hardware because it was relevant to his case - Off of that $30 and old hardware I'm making ~ 4.5 USD.
